Welcome to WhippetView Kennel. Home of David & Regina Howton and our family of whippets. We have owned whippets for over fourteen years and have enjoyed successes in both the show ring as well as performance events with many of our whippets. We have recently moved to the Atlanta Georgia area where Regina is a Veterinary with a large group in Marietta Georgia and David is a partner in an investment management firm.

While most of our whippets are pets, there are a few outstanding atheletes in the family. As with most whippet owners, our whippets tend to run our lives and dictate the type of home we are allowed to live in. The whippets spend most of their time lying on the sofa but do enjoy the opportunity to run when possible.

Our first whippet Lizzi

Our ownership of whippets began over 14 years ago when we bought our first whippet "Lizzi" from a breeder in South Florida named Fred Bunn. Fred still loves the breed at age 96 and remains one of our dear friends. We still love Fred, regardless of the "Curse of the Whippet" that we caught since meeting Fred many years ago. Our whippet family has grown over those years as has our love for the breed. We are currently own a large group of whippets, and have three of our puppies from our two WhippetView litters that are doing great on the coursing field as well as the show ring.

Our many activities include showing, coursing, and watching most compete for their time on the sofa or the nearest bed. This breed is catching and I must warn anyone who thinks they only want one dog to stay away from this breed. Whippets have a way of getting into your heart and soul, and multiplying quickly as you become more and more familiar with the breed. We are greatful to all of those who have shared their whippets with our family and look forward to having this wonderful breed with us forever.
