PJ wins Best of Breed 2002

Mirage:
1. An optical illusion caused by the refraction of light.
2. Something that falsely appears to be real.
PJ is anything but a mirage...this beauty is the real thing, just a Bitch of a DIFFERENT color!!!

PJ stacks at 7 weeks

Now here's where the definition gets tricky...is PJ a seal, sand, dun, agouti, sable or taupe? It seems she qualifies as "all of the above" but she's registered a sable fawn. Living here in Arizona I like to think of PJ as being desert camouflage in color, but she's sure no disappearing act! This stunning bitch has fabulous classic elegance and type, a gorgeous outline, and she moves like the wind! PJ truly defines our standard's "color immaterial" and indeed she was not to be denied!

PJ with her best friend/handler Mary Dukes

The incomparable Mary Dukes fell in love with her when PJ was still a youngster and asked to co-own her! Needless to say I was very flattered, and Mary showed PJ to her championship with such care and finesse...I can't thank her enough for believing in PJ from the beginning, when nearly everyone was telling me she's so beautiful but too bad she's "such an ugly color!" PJ finished easily with five majors having been out with Mary only eight times!

PJ with her monkey
After her brief but wildly successful whirlwind show career, Mary and I bred her to Mr. Fabulous Face himself, and she came home for me to whelp her. PJ gave us 5 gorgeous girls - Mary kept the PJ's carbon copy look-alike Christine and I kept Visa, my beautiful black brindle bitch!

When I bred Piper to Logan I had high hopes that this breeding would click, and it surely did! From the get-go, this little bitch was a knock-out. She had *it* - that indefinable "something" that makes you say "Wow!" She had the attitude, was always a show-off, and even as a tiny she was the boss of the litter and nobody messed with PJ! She screamed "Look at ME" from the time she opened her eyes and only got better! PJ is retired now, living a life of luxury as the queen bee with a prominent LA interior designer. I couldn't be more proud of PJ and her two littermates who are champions also.
