"THE BOYS"

"BISS Ch. Locar's Martini on the Rocks ROMX*"
1991 National Select
Ch. Morshors Majestic Prince ROMX X Ch. Locar's Show Off
Martin is the current "house mouse" and the light of my life. He is 11 years old and still about the easiest dog I have ever had to live with. This year he is qualified for his "X" to the ROM and still adding Champion progeny to his record.

"Ch. Locar's Jokers Wild"
Ch. Locar's Martini on the Rocks ROMX X Ch. Locar-Datani Total Eclipse ROM
Joker in his days of a show dog did very well indeed. He has always lived in the shadow of his father, but continues to fill my days with sunlight.

"Ch. Locar's A Perfect Stranger"
Ch. Locar's Martini on the Rocks ROMX X Ch. Locar's Miata
Benny was finished earlier this year and will be going to California to retire from showing. He will live out the life of Riley in a super home.

"Ch. Locar's Clyde the Glide"
BISS Ch. Broadstriders By George ROMX X Ch. Locar's Blowin in the wind.
Clyde lives in California with his co-owner Teresa Schreeder. This handsome dark irish marked brindle dog is probably the best mover I have ever seen in this breed. He has been bred just three times to date, with 3 Chs and a DC in his first litter, his second litter ( now a year old) has 1 Ch. and another on its way, and the third litter are still young puppies.

Left: Ch. Locar's John Henry ( Ch. Sporting Fields Kinsman x Ch. Locar's Inherit the Wind) Right: Ch. Locar's Jokers Wild
These two boys created an exciting brace to show as they both rather hated each other. The first few minutes together were exciting. They won many Hound Groups and this BIS Brace.

"Ch. Rising Stars Cop n Attitude"
"Boy" is my first Minature Pinscher and what a doll he is. He finshed very easily and won several breeds although he has never really been specialed.

"THE GIRLS"

"Ch. Locar's Inherit the Wind"
Ch. Locar's Dressed to Kill ROM X Ch. Locar's Chanel ROM
At 13, Windy is the the "grand dame" at Locar. She spends her time between sun spots and the couch.

"Ch. Antigua-Locar Silk Threads"
Ch. Locar's Dressed to Kill ROM X Ch. Locar's Color Magic
Silky is from Dressed to Kill's last litter, born in 91, and she will be his final Ch. offspring... bringing his total to 23 Ch. progeny. Silk who had not been shown in 7 years took to the ring again this summer and earned WB at two different shows to finally make up her title. Can't blame Silk, it was her "mommys" fault for not getting her out earlier. Silk was bred by Jeanne Dean of Idaho.

"Ch. Locar's Flo Jo"
Ch. Broadstriders By George ROMX X Ch. Locar's Blowin in the Wind

"Ch. Locar's Kaleidoscope"
Ch. Locar's Martini on the Rocks ROMX* X Ch. Locar's Miata
She is my brindle beauty. Easy going, beautiful moving, and a wonderful "Mom".

"BISS Ch. Sabrie-Locar Jubilee"
Co bred and co-owned by Carol Curry and Patty Bartley ( Sabrie)
I cannot leave the Perfect Princess out of my web page. She is a breeders dream. Finished in 9 shows, with 3 majors and 5 BOBs and 2 group placements (over top winning specials) She has gone on to be a multipule Breed winner, group placer, and a great win at the 2000 Empire Minature Pinscher Club specialty ( On the Pier, the day before Westminister) where she was BOB over the nations tops specials.) Julie is now basically retired and will be bred.

"Ch. Keystone Oprah"
Breeders: Pam Stevenson, Donna Powers and Carol Curry
One of the several IGs who live here at Locar.

"THE BLACKS"

Locar embarked about ten years ago in trying to incorporate some good blacks into our line. I took a lovely fawn bitch, "Ch. Locar's Holiday Rambler" and bred her to a lovely black irish marked dog from Janet Wayock ( "Timbar") , Timbar's Starless Night. The resulting litter was all black... of which I kept one bitch and the co-breeder ( Cindy Fredericks) kept another bitch.

07/03/89 - 11/03/00
"Ch. Locar-Datani Total Eclipse ROM"
Timbar's Starless Night X Ch. Locar's Holiday Rambler
"Black" came to live at Locar and become the foundation of my black Whippets. Her show career was a bit of a struggle as there were not any blacks being shown in her day. It took a while to break the ice, but when she did she finished quickly, including RWB at the 1991 National Specialty in St. Louis.
"Black" was bred two times, once to Martin and then to Ch. Locar's Clyde the Glide. There were two champions in the first litter of four total, and a third lacked only a few single points of finishing. In her second litter there were four Champions......two of them black, Mercedes and Ferrari, and two fawns, Ch. Locar's Miata and Ch. Locar's Bentley.

"DC Locar's Ferrari SC FCH" 1995 National Select
Ch.. Locar's Clyde the Glide X Ch. Locar- Datani Total Eclipse ROM
Ferrari or "FIFI" finished his title when he was 14 months old and earned his National Select at 15 months, being the first black to earn a Select title. After moving east he earned both his AKC and his ASFA Field Championships in almost straight trials. .. both titles in about 6 months time. Among his accomplishments was winning the Presidents Cup in Va. from the open division.. all the way to BIF.. a very prestigious win.

"Ch. Locar's Mercedes SC" 1997 National Select
Ch. Locar's Clyde the Glide X Ch. Locar - Datani Total Eclipse ROM
Cedes still lives here at Locar with us, and courses occasionally. She was never bred, as I am not really doing a lot of breeding any more.

"Ch. Carbeth Black Bart of Locar SC Fch"
DC Locar's Ferrari SC FCH X FC Carbeth Loud and Clear LCM 15
Bred by Carolyn Kirchner ( Carbeth) and out of the great coursing bitch Camille ( winner of the AWC National Lure Course in 2000). Bart is still active in our current day activities. Hopefully he will earn more coursing titles. And he has thrown his hand in on the production level. He has two young litters on the ground. In his first litter two lovley puppies owned by Shiri Peak, Les Pekarski and myself, "Comets Have You Heard?" and "Comets Can't Wait to Tell". They will be active in both bench and performance activities.
