There never was nor will there ever be another Whippet like him. The 'GOLDEN ONE . stands alone in his accomplishments because he was shown in an era when the Whippet was not a popular breed, either in the show ring or in the eyes of the public.

He won SEVEN CHALLENGE CERTIFICATES and the Hound Group at Blackpool before arriving in the U.S.A. These wins in England were great accomplishments, since, until that time, few Whippets had been Group winners in England . His career in the U.S.A. was spectacular, to say the least.

At his first show, December 16, 19 62 , at Worcester KC., he went Best of Breed for a four-point major, and also won the Hound Group. From that exciting win, he went on to the following wins:

He was the sire of 54 Champions and was never defeated by any male Whippet in his entire career.

In 1963 he was TOP HOUND; in 1964 he was DOG OF THE YEAR; in 1965 he was TOP PRODUCING HOUND OF THE YEAR and FOURTH AMONG ALL BREEDS; in 1966 he was TOP PRODUCER OF ALL BREEDS. This was superb, since he was shown less than two years.

He was the sire of CH. PENNYWORTH MOTHER GOOSE and many other top winners, and is the Great Great Grandsire of CH. WILCARE'S AGED IN WOOD.

He was enshrined in the KENNEL REVIEW HALL OF FAME in 1972.

GOLDEN ONE 'S sire was CH. BELLAVISTA BARRY: his dam was MYHORLYN'S ANITA; his

breeder was Me. A.E. Halliwell, of England; he was a fawn and white 19 3/4 inch male and weighed 22 pounds.

To Complete his fairytale, he was BIS at Westminster, Chicago International, Harbor Cities, Detroit, Philadelphia, Ravenna, Suffolk Co., Ladies Kennel Association, Westbury, Long Island and Harrisburg, to name a few.

"Kizzi" was BOS at the 1979 Western Specialty Sweepstakes. She carried on the tradition of her group winning sire and her 1973 AWC Western Specialty BOB Dam. She won Best of Breed at the 1981 AWC Western Specialty under Mrs. Carol Willumsen. What a Thrill! We are proud of Kizzi as a winner and producer of Group and Specialty. She rules the house today at soon to be 16 Years.

VOLANT TRILBY OF WINDSOR was an intelligent, lovely and spirited Whippet. To say she was the Queen of the Wyndsor household is quite an understatement – "she was Wyndsor". Her many multi-titled offspring brought great pride and recognition to our breeding program. She was a winner.

Over the years Trilby proved to be quite a character and was known by many names; cookie monster, paranoid pony, old lady and Pebber were just a few. She was an important member of our family, a loyal friend and a very special Whippet. She is greatly missed.

In her memory, we wish everyone a Happy and Successful National Specialty.

Dill was imported from the Baydale kennel of Shelia Fenwick and her late mother Mrs. L. M. Blair. Her substance, beautiful curves and rich color were just what I needed to incorporate into my breeding program.

Completing her championship quickly she bred to Ch. Blue Fox of Whippoorwill producing several champions, the most famous being Ch. Fen wick of Whippoorwill and Ch. Lady Blair of Whippoorwill. She was bred a second time to Ch, Misty Moors Chalmondoley again producing several champions, the most influential being Ch. Whippoorwill Red Poppy.

Dill was then retired and lived to enjoy her sixteenth birthday. Leaving such a legacy, Dill was truly one of Whippoorwill's foundations,

Fenwick finished quickly as a youngster and enjoyed life running and playing at Whippoorwill. Due to an injury, his show career ended early but he proved himself as a very influential sire. Fenwick appears in the pedigrees of many of the current top producing sires and dams. Many of his off-spring inherited his way of talking and I recently acquired his grandaughter Whippoorwill Aeolian Dream better known as Woo-Woo " truly inheriting her grandsires way of communicating.
