"Chip" Ch. Broadstrider out of George, ROM, on the move

In August of 1991, we picked a black brindle Irish-marked male puppy from a litter sired by Ch. Hamrya's Lucky Charm, SC, ROM X Aymes N Raybar's Miss Oceana. The litter was bred by Doug & Ruth Broadfoot (Broadstrider). He was 3 1/2 months old, had lovely side gait, and a presence which proclaimed to the world (or at least to his littermates) that he was the best! Three months later he proved it by going WD, BW at the AWC Southern Specialty and also Best In Sweepstakes! Ch. Broadstrider By George, ROMX had a short but whirlwind show career and by the time he was a year old proved he could also sire quality puppies.

"Chip" has, to date, sired about 37 champions and several dual champions. As his last litter matures we expect that numer to reach nearly 40 champions. His strong front movement is almost always carried by his offspring and he stamps his get with a look that is recognized by most knowledgeable Whippet Breeders. Sadly, we lost Chip in March of 2003. We will be forever greatful to have this remarkable dog and we love him dearly.
