Danny, my very special boy, lost a battle with a fast moving, rare cancer four years ago. When I lost Danny, I lost all that was Sangaree and almost 30 yrs in Whippets. There was nothing left of my old dogs. I was never able to breed Dan to my own girls as they were too closely related to him, and finding one that could be linebred was nearly impossible. However, there was one and she remains the light of my life thanks to her breeder, Yvonne Sovereign. But Danny died just weeks before a breeding was to have been done. It was a crushing blow to lose him and my "future" at that time. Danny finished his championship quickly, from Bred By, with three 4 point majors. He was a very mellow, sweet dog and I loved him dearly. Ten years was far too short a time......
