"Lacey"     Kokopelli's Desert MoonDrop Feb. 2002

Ch Alcyon Runamok Nautilas X Kokopelli's Piper in Paris

I had admired the Kokopelli whippets of Deb Martino's for some time, and when Lacey was whelped, I wanted her from the beginning.   She is all I'd hoped for.   Very moderate, old bloodlines, dark eyes, exceptional movement.   And PERSONALITY PLUS!   Her nickname is Leapin' Lacey, not only for leaping into my arms whether I'm ready or not, but for her amazing leaps for the ball.   She is totally obsessed with playing ball in the yard, and no matter how high I throw it, she can catch it.   Some of her leaps and body twists have to be seen to be believed.   Wish she was as enthusiastic about showing!    But she's major pointed (along with THREE 5 point major Reserves!)  So hopefully she will be finished in the near future since the judges seem to like her.    One of my greatest thrills was getting to go to my first National. I had her in Open and she placed 3rd.   I've never been so ecstatic over a yellow ribbon in my 30-plus years of showing.   It was a huge class of wonderful bitches, and I am deeply honored that Annie Clark felt Lacey deserved to place.
