Seaspell Kennels

"Seaspell" Kennel is a 46 acre farm currently located in Georgetown Delaware with 9 huge paddocks and a beautiful kennel room attached to the house plus a new out building big enough for a large practice show ring.

Judith Britton's first endeavor in dog shows was in the obedience ring With her Doberman in 1974. In 1979 Judy purchased her first whippet "Wind", from "Sporting Field's Kennel", and fell in love with the breed. "Wind" earned her "CD Title". By 1985 Judy had acquired "Morshor Majestic Glitter" and bred her to " Ch Seaspell's Echo of the Sea FCh" which produced the first official "Seaspell" litter.

Ch Seaspells Beach Music SC Fch - "Wallis"

During the early 1990's Judy was an avid courser and in the show ring campaigned a beautiful "Oscar" Daughter,"Ch Sporting Field's Seaspells FCh SC" aka "Sealy". She was a top twenty whippet And multiple group winner. Judy also became a licensed Cousing judge.

One of Judy's best litters produced "Seaspell's Pemaqid Point FCh"aka "Porter" who was Ch Hamrya's Lucky Charm LCM SC x Sporting Fields Milky Way. "Porter" is the wonderful foundation Behind the beautiful "Seaspell" whippets seen today. Judy is most proud of the "Porter" get from the breeding to "BIS SBIS Ch Sporting Fields Jazz Fest". This produced the "MBIF Natl First Select Ch Seaspell's Beach Music FCh SC "aka "Wallis".

"Wallis" was a Top Twenty Whippet, 1st Award of Merit at the 2000 National Specialty, and BOS at 2002 Westminster KC. "Wallis's" first breeding, co- bred with Judy's handler and Wallis's co-owner, Karen Roberson , was to "SBIS Ch Snowcap's Sovereign JC, "which produced AWC BOB Supported entry winner "BIS Ch Seaspells Son of a Beach" and AWC BOB Supported Entry winner "Ch Seaspell's Rock of Ages."

Her next breeding was to "BIS SBIS Ch Snowcap Wilcard Goodfellow". This breeding produced SBIS Ch Seaspell's Point Cabria who was Winners bitch at the 2002 National and Best of Breed at the 2002 Midwest Specialty and Best of Breed at the 2002 Southern Specialty. "Marnie" is also a multiple group winner and won 4 sweepstakes in her short time in the classes.

"Seaspell" has many wonderful memories of great wins over the years in theshow ring and on the field. We strive for the "all purpose dog" in all areas especially sound temperment.
