A BLAST FROM THE PAST

This bucolic setting in Checotah, Eastern Oklahoma was the ideal life for our family and our Whippets. Outside of city limits and no neighbors. You've heard of "the back of beyond" well, here it is and as you can see by the surrounding fields the corn WAS as high as an elephants eye! It must have been a very hot day when this aerial photo' was taken as not one Whippet was outside! Our family resided there from 1974 to 1991, it was a little bit of heaven!

Unavoidebly in 1990 we left this property and bred no more. I was on demand as a judge which interfered with my showing and breeding. All the children (kennel help) had left home and gone their seperate ways. The last to go was our daughter Stacey, off to the University of Oklahoma. Stacey earned a Masters degree in Speech & Language -- and she owes it all to the dogs
