Can Ch Riverchase Andante

Shelley Kruger and FANFARE WHIPPETS from Wisconsin Rapids, WI. My history in dogs began in 1989 with a backyard pet quality cocker spaniel named Buddy. He was the best little dog a person could ever have. I enrolled in obedience with "the Bud Man" and enjoyed it so much that I decided to dabble in confirmation. I purchased my first show cocker in 1990 and finished six cocker spaniels within the next five years. However, the constant grooming soon took its toll and I decided to research other lower maintenence breeds.

After a year of research, I chose the whippet and the rest shall we say is history. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the nicest and most sincere breeders such as Heidi Powell of Leyenda whippets, Deann Christianson of Chelsea whippets, Sue Harris (now Vernon) of Summit whippets, Jean Schroeder of Willabe whippets, Alice VandenBussche, and Joanne Bohl of Milestone whippets just to name a few.

The past five years in this breed have been kind to me. Two of my most favorite memories are my first group win with Ch Leyenda's Wish Upon A Star in 1998 and a SBIS and BIS on the same day with my good friends Joanne Bohl and Sue Vernon's stunning bitch Ch Summit Moonlight Serenade JC "Abby" in 1999. Joann and I have recently co-bred a litter which we have high hopes for.

Ch Fanfare's Fantasia

I lost my best friend Buddy last february. His memory will remain forever here at Fanfare Whippets as the little dog who inspired me to the challenge of the dog show world.
