Kathy Rasmussen and Harmony Whippets from Olathe KS. I have been in whippets for approximately nine years. We got our first Whippet as a pet and I became interested in showing whippets through Vickie Smith who helped me get my first show dog, Andauer Pi in the Sky from Karen Gibson in Tulsa. I showed him and enjoyed conformation quite a bit. He needed a major to finish but he didn't like showing as much as I did...and I placed him with some very good friends as a pet. He is now doing what he enjoyed best...being a bedwarmer.

I have been fortunate to have many who have been influential in my years in whippets. Karen Gibson in Tulsa has shared much of her experiences and knowledge she has gathered over the years.



Ch. Avalon Gran Slam....out of Bohem Rosenkavalier and Ch. Saxon Shore MGM Grand.....bred by Brad Vargas and Tom Lockhart. He was the first dog a finished all owner handled.

One of my biggest thrills is probably being able to show at Westminster this year with a bitch I finished. Ch. TTF Kabibi Gold was a delight to show and made the cut at the Garden. She was a trooper in the big city and didn't complain of all the concrete and lack of grass...:-)
I know I would love to see more of the versitle whippet, starting with myself...it's just so difficult for me as an owner to go in different directions...with the cost of traveling and time so limited we just aren't able to do all that we would like

This is my new star, he is out of CH Sporting Fields Jazz Fest and Heartland Promise Keeper JC(he is just 8 months and has been out 3 weekends and is pointed).
